Magic has always astounded me.
From even a young age, I was compelled to learn more and more
tricks and practice my sleight of hand in front of the mirror
and to my friends. There's just something about being able to
grab a deck of cards and astound and stump innocent bystanders.
Tricks, especially card tricks, are extremely handy at parties,
a family get together, the bar and it's always a nifty way to
impress members of the opposite sex!
Card tricks that require a
little bit of practice and have no wires, magnets or threads are
the best because they can be performed virtually anywhere. Plus,
there is no setup required so the tricks can be performed
whenever the spirit moves you.
A great book for beginners (by
beginner I mean easy to understand, but the tricks are still
amazing) can be found here.
Not only does the site contain these magic card
tricks, but it also has links to other various tricks such as:
the levitating cigarette and a full colored booklet on how to
make yourself levitate; a must have for any occasion!

Like anything, to become good at
these tricks it takes a little bit of patience and practice. It
is extremely important to be able to perform a trick flawlessly
because you leave your audience in awe and keep them guessing.
Also, never let the audience know how the trick is done (its the
main rule of the magicians code). Even if they beg to know how
the trick was performed, don't tell them because the mysterious
nature of card tricks are half the fun!
The card tricks contained in this
book can be done for those whose magic skill
levels are at any range, whether it be: beginner, intermediate
or even advanced. The detailed descriptions and full color
photographs will help you easily learn the tricks and get you on
your way to becoming a great magician.
