A brand new
year brings out many interesting new years resolutions. I think
you’d agree that the most common and most popular are: stop
smoking, start exercising, lose weight and stop ordering
Vietnamese hookers – but that last one might just be me.
As soon as
the clock hit 2006, you went to your local fitness store and
bought yourself a new pair of gym shorts, a gym shirt, training
booklet and a water bottle. Trouble is what gym do you sign up
to, what types of exercises do you do and what kind of diet
should you undergo? While you look very stylish sitting on your
ass, your not being very productive and more importantly you’re
not losing any weight, but we’re here to help! |

Depending on your budget, where
you live and what kind of weight loss goals you have, there are
basically 3 types of gyms. Gym number one would resemble a gym
that’s located inside a multi-complex such as a YMCA. These
generally give you access to a pool, gymnasium and
racquetball/squash courts. The best part about these places is
that they’re dirt cheap. Most of the time if you sign up under
the family package you save at least half of the monthly
membership cost! Next,
we’ve got the hardcore gym. Hardcore gym’s are usually where you
see most of the ROID monkeys and the place where no one wipes
the sweat off the bench after they use it. There will be an
Olympic platform for serious weight lifters and more free
weights than you can shake a stick at. Prices at these types of
gyms typically are higher, but hey – you gotta pay to see the
freak show!
Last but not
least we’ve got the metrosexual gym. These gyms will have a full
salon including spa treatment, massage therapy and maybe a
Jacuzzi. Also inside the complex you’ll find tanning beds,
aerobics classes, yoga and much more. These gym's are the most
expensive, and unless you’ve got a sugar daddy, and an already
amazing body, I’d recommend staying away from these.
