much doing here its raining and cold. I was possibly going
to go for a bike ride but maybe tomorrow...
Have any of you heard about that "Driving for
Dollars" company. Apparently all in one spot, members
can learn tips on how to get approved, track their
applications and find the companies that will actually pay
them or give them a free car!
I donno, sounds pretty wild to me, you guys should check
it out and you can find it right here. |

People
always say "think positive" and "be
thankful for what you have". Me being the negative
ungrateful person that I am, I decided it would probably
be a good idea to attend an evening Church service to give
thanks.
I go to church and the service was super boring and I
ended up nodding off a couple of times. I did however receive
a free bible; thank you Jesus! I left and was feeling a
little disheartened when I realized something... I LOCKED
MY KEYS IN THE CAR! Of course, I couldn't curse and swear
in the middle of a church parking so I sucked it up and
got a coat hanger to see if I could pull a McGuyver. 20
minutes later I gave up and called a tow truck. I sat on
the roof of my car watching people drive away as I endured
the painful 30 minute wait for the tow truck (damn these
big cities... more on that later)
The tow truck arrived, it took him a mere 2 seconds to
unlock the car and I shelled out a hard-earned $65.00
dollars. $65.00 dollar's to unlock my door? Either I got
screwed, or that's how much it costs in these big cities.
I went home, bible in hand and 65 dollars poorer
regretting the donation I had made... I could really use
that $3.00 bucks right about now.
I get home, sort through my mail and there is a letter for
me. I open it up expecting to receive money or even maybe
a letter from a friend. Sadly no, it was my cell-bill. The
information contained in the bill was just informing me
how much my payment was going to be, and when the money
was to be taken out. You guessed it, the bill was to be
taken out of my account that night and I was just shy of
making the payment. Of course the banks were closed as it
was Sunday at around 9:00pm. I frantically called my cell
phone company to see if there was anything we could do,
like delay the bill or something. The lady on the other
end of the phone didn't speak very good English, and I
think I ended up buying a vacuum or some crap.
You can see where this story is going... basically going
to church that night cost me around $130.00 dollars.
$65.00 Dollars for the tow truck, $3.00 dollars for the
donation, $1.50 for the Dr. Pepper I drank whilst waiting
for the truck, $20.00 late payment fee from my cell-phone
company, $20.00 fee from my bank for not having enough in
the account and finally $20.00 from some credit company
due to the lack of payment for my cell-phone.
Anyway, added a new article labeled "free
cell phone" to the articles page. Check it
out.... LOL |
